So...as you may have heard from Daniel's reply in the Riding Sunday thread, I managed to hit a deer out on the trails at Durhamtown this weekend...

So this is where the whole thing started w/ the deer... Instead of drag strip, should this be called the deer slayer strip?! J/K, that's just wrong... I felt really bad for the deer

Well you kinda have to use your imagination here some... But the big hint here is the white fur trail down the dirt path leading to where I ended up on the ground w/ a hurt knee...

If you didn't guess...Wait how could you?! LOL.

This is where the deer jumped out in front of me while I was going 30mph on the bike!
The deer fell over, the bike fell over on top of it, and I jumped on top of the bike and somehow surfed the bike/deer for >20 yards before the deer came out from under the bike. After that I was on the bike another 5 yards or so before it stopped and I tumbled off of it and hit my knee on a rock or something

This is where the poor little deer landed in the bushes immediately after the wreck

Well the pic here says it all... This is the final crash site of the deer incident

The deer making it's escape after being in shock for like 10 minutes

My medic, Laura (on right), tending to my wounds... For the 2nd time that day.

Yes, you read correctly... After hitting the deer she patched me up and I went riding again for another couple hours before calling it quits at lunchtime. My leg bled enough that my black pants were red on the outside and it felt like my leg was in water...there was lots of blood!

Daniel getting ready @ his place sunday morning without notion of the drastic reality of what was going to transpire on this fine Sunday of riding at Durhamtown

So I'm not really sure what kind of condition my leg is currently in, it hurts pretty badly...enough I can barely walk! I did go to a doctor Sunday night and they gave me some pain killers and told me to see an orthopaedic, which I have an appointment Thursday...so I'll give y'all an update then. For now, here's a pic from today of my B^3 Trifecta of injuries for the weekend... One of the other two (leg bruise) is interesting also, but not as much as the deer. It involved acrobatics and a broken ball joint on the a-arm.

Pay  more attention!dangittt!  this is why they say no street racing, keep it on the dragstrip(didnt know that went for offroad too)hahahaha

Why is it every time TEX goes ridin with you, that he crashes?

lol... everytime we go riding, almost everyone crashes! The only person who didn't wreck this time was Paul who broke his wrist last time he rode.

Knee Update: The doc said today the tendons all look good thankfully. She said most likely it's just a bone bruise. From what I've read online they take forever to heal, which really sux... but i guess it coulda been much worse! After the swelling/etc goes down she said I may have to get an MRI to check on some of the soft tissue if the pain doesn't go away... guess I'll have to kick back and wait patiently now Confused
