not sure this is something i should celebrate but today marks exactly one year since my bad ATV crash. I would like to say i have learned my lesson but i'm afraid i havent. it's just too much fun to ride on the edge. maybe one day i will wise up but for now its all WFO. my ribs still hurt occasionally and i havent done near the exercise i should have for my arm and shoulder but it seems to work well enough.
I still have the metal plate and 9 screws in my collar bone and i'm pretty sure they are staying in there as i have no desire to go into surgery for that, the surgery hurt worse than the actual crash!!
still trying to figure out whether or not i want to get a dirt bike..... hahahha
it's not a hobby; it's an addiction!
ok so now i'm pissed. just remembered something else.... not only was this weekend a year since my crash, it's also been a year since I missed the ATV race in Union SC that i wanted to go watch. I had planned on going last year and then i crashed like a dumbass so i couldnt make it. then this year i totally forgot about it. damnit! i hope they come back this same weekend next year.... here's some coverage I found of the race..... http://quad.transworld.net/2009/04/06/borich-takes-the-gncc-win/
just wanted to go see the pro's jump the creek at Big Buck...... its a private ranch in Union SC that is only open during events like this GNCC race or else i'd already be over there riding!! can't believe i missed this damn race again, it was perfect weather outside too.... :(
Even better that the pics for that article show a Suzuki in FRONT of a KTM. There's getting to be a nice little rivalry going on between the QuadRacers and those funny looking orange quads. I had plans to go to the race, but ended up working on my stupid truck all weekend. (It's still not fixed)
